       1Cr21Ni5Ti (corresponding to the GB/T 20878 standard designation S22160) is a stainless steel composed of ferrite and austenite phases. The carbon content is controlled within 0.09% - 0.14%. Through the collaborative alloy design of chromium (20%-22%), , and titanium (≥5 times the carbon content), a balance between high strength and corrosion resistance is achieved. The material's tensile strength is ≥ 590 MPa, and the yield strength is ≥ 345 MPa. Compared to the traditional 1Cr18Ni9Ti, its strength is increased by 13%-20%.  The heat processing temperature range is 800 - 1050ºC. It supports conventional welding processes and is widely used in key components such as aerospace engine casings and chemical reactors that require both corrosion resistance and structural strength.
Mechanical properties


In the solid solution state, the elongation of the material is ≥ 20%, the reduction of area is ≥ 40%, and the hardness is ≤ 280HBW. The yield strength retention rate remains ≥ 80% at 600ºC, and the impact energy reaches 45J at -40ºC. The tensile strength of the cold-rolled state can reach 635MPa, which is more than 30% higher than that of 1Cr18Ni9Ti. 
Physical properties 

At 20ºC, the longitudinal elastic modulus is 187 GPa, the resistivity is 0.79 μΩ·m, and the thermal expansion coefficient is 10×10/K (0 - 100ºC). The thermal conductivity ranges from 17.6 to 23.0 W/(m·K), the melting point is 1390 - 1400ºC, and it has weak magnetism [2]. Processing technology


Hot processing should be carried out within the optimal plasticity range of 950 - 1050ºC. When the deformation exceeds 15% during cold processing, intermediate annealing is required. The recommended heat treatment regime is 950 - 1100ºC solution treatment + 550ºC tempering, with grain size controlled at 5 - 8μm. Welding can be done using TIG/MIG processes, and when matched with 18-8 type electrodes, the weld strength can reach over 90% of the base material.
Corrosion resistance performance

1.Aerospace: Applied to the outer wall of the engine combustion chamber (working temperature ≤ 600ºC), reducing the weight by 15% compared to the original 1Cr18Ni9Ti part.
2.Energy equipment: Applied to high-temperature sulfur corrosion pipelines in oil refineries, with the design pressure increased to 35 MPa.
3.Medical devices: Manufacturing surgical instruments, suitable for scenarios requiring resistance to oxidative acid corrosion and high strength.
